Birthday Fun!

Amelia LOVES animals these days.  Whether it's hanging out with the zoo animals or playing pretend puppy at home (her name is Bibsy), she is always playing with animals.  So, in our effort to avoid a REAL kitten or puppy.....lets go to the zoo for your birthday Amelia!
Nolan (sort of) loving his little sis.
Chuckie is the Gulf Coast Zoo's 700lb alligator.  I picked Nick up to look at him and when I asked what would happen if he fell in, he ever so calmly said "he'd eat me".  In the moment it was sorta cute....not at all a Micheal Jackson - baby on the balcony kind of thing.

Now that....is how to show your Sister some love! Come on Nolan ;-)
Whatever this thing is....a goat, deer or maybe a geer, it was the Hasting family favorite.
And new to the zoo.....it's a Cora Bear!

Sort of looks like we lost a bet on the hockey game, but this family pic was from last Friday.  A couple of our Canadian friends have been down for the month of Feb and brought the Team Canada shirts for the kids and some mittens for B.  It's been fun seeing them again, in between this frustratingly cold weather we've had.  They're off to Panama City Beach tomorrow......here's hoping you find some warmer weather over there :-)  We look forward to seeing you all in PCB.

Happy birthday Amelia!

Help us out......Amelia says she still looks like a 4 1/2 year old, I say NO WAY!!!! What do you think?

2 more days!!!!

Amelia's Turn

Amelia's hair color stayed the same but she got a much shorter style.  She's looking much like the five year old she'll be on Sunday!

Nolan loves cuddling his littlest sis.

This is what Cora is usually like.  She is always smiling and now even beginning to laugh.  She's lots of fun.

Going back to his roots

Here's the new Nick!  Under all of those blonde highlights, he's truly a dark-haired child.

Nap time

Nolan & Amelia both had the week off school, and they've both been doing lot of playin. But with Nick & Amelia gettin a little sick, it was naptime for them this afternoon. Nolan got to stay up and read some books and play on his own......

I just went down to check on him....and sometimes, I guess big kids need naps too.

Birth-weekend

I think this pic might be upside down.....

Here are some pics from the birthday bowling trip.  Very cool place over in Foley....I'm sure we'll go back.

Nolan, picking up the spare.  It was just like Wii.....EVERYONE kicks dads butt :-)

They even kicked up the black lights after a while.  It took me & B back to junior high.

Birthday lunch at the Crack, thanks Grandma & Grandpa Schulz!

Back at home for some birthday cake (the first one)

Nolan got a sweet Blue Angel kite and some cool toy (rubberband) airplanes from Jim & Connie.  And  also Dominos & Uno from Dot & Mark.  Thanks a lot for coming over guys, it's good to have some beach family.

With a windblock, 60 and sunny is great beach weather.  We even had the shelter up in the parking lot durning Nicks naptime and the rest of us played some Uno in the sun.

Next up, big Sis turns 5!

Happy Birthday Nolan!

As hard as it is to believe... Nolan is celebrating the BIG 7th birthday today. He got an early jump on the celebrating with a 3 a.m. wake up. He was up organizing the party decorations...even cleaning up a bit. He was really excited (maybe anxious?) about his first horseback riding lesson. We found a place in Pensacola for him to go. I think when he saw the coupon saying we got him a horseback riding lesson.... That we'd also gotten him a HORSE! Sorry buddy, maybe someday :)

Off for some birthday bowling fun!

This is how we roll....

This is how we're getting around these days. Cora in the single, Nick & Amelia in the double and Nolan on the razor (scooter). We bring along an extra scooter for Amelia to ride on the back roads. They both do a great job setting the pace for us :)

Just another beatiful night on Innerarity Island. This is over on the intercoastal looking west towards Orange Beach. You can't see it well in this pic, but there is a blimp! It's been around this week advertising one of the Biloxi casinos.
